Wracamy z trzecią odsłoną cyklu „Był sobie piłkarz”. Tworzą go opowieści o polskich piłkarzach z różnych czasów. Świętujących sukcesy, przeżywających porażki, zmagających się z problemami na boisku, w szatni i w prywatnym życiu. Jeszcze raz jest o nich głośno, jak wtedy, gdy byli oklaskiwani, a czasem wygwizdywani przez kibiców. Nie zawsze doskakiwali do reprezentacyjnego poziomu, lecz wszystkich łączyły piłkarskie sprawy, nierzadko decydujące o najważniejszych życiowych wyborach. Autorowi w najmniejszym stopniu nie zależało na podążaniu wydeptanymi reporterskimi ścieżkami, odpytywaniem tylko wielkich piłkarzy.
