Ale upieram się przy swojej tezie: nie o śmiech, a w każdym razie nie tylko o śmiech tu chodzi. Nauka stawia pytania i szuka na nie odpowiedzi, kwestionując odziedziczone sposoby myślenia, rozbierając gotowe światoobrazy. W dramatach Pakuły ukazuje nam się w całej swojej dynamice, na którą składają się ciekawość i pasja badawcza, błądzenie pośród sprzecznych hipotez, odkrycie i sformułowanie teorii, dalsze życie tej teorii, która podlega rozmaitym przekształceniom, a niekiedy jej obalenie.
