Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters) performed the drums on the album and integrated some of his famous drum rolls in the different songs. There are other moments of brilliance on the album, as in the fast pace and loud "Asteroid". Killing Joke singer Jaz Coleman's voice brings in the power of their music and in combination with their mind-bending riffs they created some fine pieces of music. It's the new incarnation of the '80s Killing Joke and one where they showing their new spirits.

Cat Stevens grew from being a teen idol of the '60s into one of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time. In addition to his vast musical achievements, his lifelong spiritual quest has added intrigue and depth to a ground-breaking career.
Cat, born Steven Demetre Georgiou, achieved early success in the mid-'60s with "I Love My Dog" and "Matthew and Son". He is a prolific songwriter, writing songs such as "Wild World" and "Lady D'Arbanville" and "The First Cut Is The Deepest. The latter, in particular, would go on to become an international hit on multiple occasions for a variety of artists. Also included is Cat Stevens' version of "Morning Has Broken", a popular and well known Christian hymn which became one of his biggest hits.
The Collected collection by Cat Stevens is a 2LP gatefold album, largely chronological through Stevens' career, ranging from his hits "Matthew & Son" to "Midday (Avoid City After Dark)," credited to the singer's latter-day Yusuf Islam identity. Stevens remains one of the few early '70s singer-songwriters specialized in folk and pop-songs, whose oeuvre continues to attract new listeners with every passing generation. This Collected album will only add to their numbers.
Obituary's death metal debut album Slowly We Rot was a ground-breaking release at the end of the 1980s. As one of the pioneers of this genre, they created a heavy album where everything was monstrous. From their down-tuned guitar riffs, deep growls and moans and distinct tempo changes. The movie hit of 2014, Interstellar, chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. While the film is directed by acclaimed Christopher Nolan (Inception, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight), the epic soundtrack score was composed by Nolan's longtime collaborator, Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer.
Zimmer and Nolan planned to move away from the Batman Trilogy's scores and to come up with a unique one. Before (re)writing a word of Interstellar, Nolan did something he had never done before, something that speaks to his desire for more emotionally potent work. He asked composer Hans Zimmer to write some music for the film, but without telling him about the genre, title, characters, or plot: "I said, 'I am going to give you an envelope with a letter in it. One page. It's going to tell you the fable at the center of the story. You work for one day, then play me what you have written.' He was up for it. And it was perfect. He gave me the heart of the movie." Zimmer says he remembers this idea from Nolan's letter: "Once we become parents, we can't help but look at ourselves through the eyes of our children."
Zimmer conducted 45 scoring sessions for Interstellar, which was three times more than for Inception. Interstellar's score has been nominated for the 2015 Oscars, BAFTA Awards, Golden Globes and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
Keep It Simple (2004) is the seventh studio album by blues artist Keb' Mo'. The album won a Grammy in 2005 for best contemporary blues album, and features Robben Ford, Robert Cray, Vince Gill a.o. Cure for Pain is the second album by Morphine, originally released in 1993. The tracks "Sheila" and "In Spite of Me" were prominently featured on the soundtrack of the 1994 independent film Spanking the Monkey. The video for "Thursday" appeared on an episode of Beavis and Butt-head and the track "Buena" appears in the first season of The Sopranos.
Morphine was an American alternative rock group formed by Mark Sandman, Dana Colley, and Jerome Deupree in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1989. The band combined blues and jazz elements with more traditional rock arrangements, giving the band an unusual sound. The band enjoyed positive critical appraisal. In the United States the band was embraced and promoted by the indie rock community, including public and college radio stations and MTV's 120 Minutes. Internationally the band enjoyed high-profile success, especially in Belgium, Portugal, France and Australia.

Time Out is the 1959 album by The Dave Brubeck Quartet, based upon the use of time signatures that were unusual for jazz (mainly waltz or double-waltz time, but also 9/8, and most famously 5/4).

The great jazz-fusion band Weather Report releases their self-titled debut album in 1971. The young musicians created an original and fluid record, which would define the state of the jazz rock by that time. Wayne Shorter's (1960s Miles Davis ensemble) soprano sax shines and reveals with full force the extraordinary rapport the members of the group established from the start. The music consist of subtle melody lines and is mostly an atmospheric adventurous journey. Influences from Mile Davis' "In A Silent Way" / "Bitches Brew" sessions can be heard throughout this record. The other prominent member from the Miles Davis ensemble is the keyboard player Joe Zawinul. Altogether they're performing this historical document, a soundtrack for your imagination and head.
Throughout most of its existence, the band was a quintet of keyboards, saxophone, bass, drums and percussion. Famous members were the American saxophonist Wayne Shorter, keyboard player Joe Zawinul, bassist Jaco Pastorius and drummer Chester Thompson.

Mother Earth is the first album by the Dutch metal band Within Temptation. Featuring Sharon den Adel as the only vocalist the direction of the band changed from their doomy sound from the former EPs to a more symphonic style. The title song opens with a beautiful orchestral melody before powerful drumming and guitar riffs pumping in. "Ice Queen" reached number one in both the Netherlands and Belgium. With its prominent string arrangement and lyrical content, it was a fine song in the early zero's. Overall Mother Earth is an emotive and thoughtful collection of musical ideas overridden by some impressive vocal expressions.

Miles Davis' often overlooked masterpiece Miles in the Sky is his venture into the jazz-rock, which later became known as fusion. Contraband is the critically acclaimed debut studio album by American Hard Rock band Velvet Revolver, which was originally released in 2004. The supergroup consists of former Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum, alongside Dave Kushner, formerly of punk band Wasted Youth, and Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland. Contraband debuted at number one on the American Billboard 200 chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA. The commercial success was helped by the impact of the singles "Slither" and "Fall to Pieces", which both reached number one on the Mainstream Rock Chart and the album's third single "Dirty Little Thing" peaked at number eight on the Mainstream Rock chart. Metal Church is the self-titled debut album of the heavy metal band of the same name. The album was originally released independently in 1984. Based on the success of the album, the band was signed to a recording contract by Elektra, who reissued Metal Church in 1985. The cover art depicts a cruciform Gibson Explorer hidden in shadows and smoke. Some of their most notable songs are the opener "Beyond The Black", their title track, the instrumental "Merciless Onslaught", "Gods Of Wrath" (which is different from all the other songs, as it had clean vocals, clean rhythms, and fluent solos) and the Deep Purple cover "Highway Star". The album is produced by Metal Church and Terry Date (Pantera, Slayer, Prong).

Blood, Sweat & Tears is not the first band to ever use a horn section, but they are the first to fuse it with rock, jazz, and some blues thrown in for good measure. From the first ensemble in the late sixties practicing in a loft on Bleeker Street in New York's Greenwich Village and having crowds clapping on the street below between songs, founding member and drummer Bobby Colomby knew they were on the right course. Since then, the band has never stopped touring for over 50 years. This Greatest Hits compilation album includes all of the group's best-known material up to 1972. They already had released four albums and scores six Top 40 hits, so it was the right moment to bring all their best hits together. It contains tracks such as:” Land Of The Vandals”, “Silverspoon Lady” & “Last Night Of The Bottle” taken from their phenomenally successful 2017 studio album A Sting In The Tale.
