During Florence Design Week 2017, an exhibition on contemporary architecture in China named "Rise of the Orient" was organized by Meizhu Jianwen Studio, together with Arch College and Arch Archives, two organizations representing the cutting-edge pioneers of the New Media in China.
In this exhibition, 22 projects from different regions in China were presented, and seven international architects were invited to interpret the designs from a Western perspective. The difference in cultural backgrounds made the exhibition and its interpretation an interesting event for communication and exchange.
Contemporary Architecture in China Rise of the Orient 2017 relates directly to this exhibit and the interpretation of the 22 projects that were part of this event.
