How the king of Elfheim hated the stories
What is it like to be the king of Elfheim, terrible, shining and powerful? Having a mortal girl as a queen who only wants to fight monsters and get into trouble? What is it like to grow up as a cruel prince, unloved, betrayed and lonely? Fall in love with a mortal girl who looks at you with hatred? When little Cardan meets Aslog the troll, he doesn't yet know the answers to these questions. However, Aslog tells him a story that touches his heart. The young prince has learned to be terrifying in order to protect himself, and even the strongest walls can be broken down. The land of Faerie is permeated with a web of words and magic, and Cardan has yet to make sure that any story must obey the will of the storyteller, and the past catches up with even the most cunning of the Folk.
